Kevin Mark Herren

DYER CHAPEL-Kevin Mark Herren, born on March 5, 1958 in Carthage, Tennessee, and died Tuesday, December 24, 2024 in Rickman, Tennessee at the age of 66. He was a truly unique soul whose spirit brought joy to all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. 

Navigating life with special needs, Kevin was a one-of-a-kind fella, though he faced challenges throughout his life, Kevin’s ability to inspire love and kindness in others never waned. Kevin saw the world through a lens of wonder, finding delight in the simplest things. Kevin enjoyed collecting stuffed animal pigs. He enjoyed watching Ray Stevens and Beverly Hillbillies videos.

Kevin’s journey was guided by the unwavering support of his beloved family. He is survived by his Nephews Chad (Susan) Herren, Mark (Nikki) Herren, and Tegress Herren, great nieces & nephews: Morgan (Tyler) Gaudette, Tyler (Sloan) Herren, Nycolette Herren (Adam Peek), Kaitlin (Brandon) Poston, Kinsley Herren and Tucker Herren, great great niece and nephews: Bentley Poston, Wrynlee Peek and Palmer Herren.

Together, they carry forward the stories and adventures that painted Kevin's life in vivid colors, ensuring that his extraordinary spirit continues to shine brightly in their hearts.

A funeral service will be Monday, December 30, 2024 at 1 PM at Dyer Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home, 798 South Willow Avenue, Cookeville, TN 38501. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Bro. Mark Herren will officiate.

The family will receive friends Monday from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Ruth Tucker Herren, brothers Steve Herren and Don Herren.

As we reflect on Kevin’s life, we remember the countless moments of joy he bestowed upon us and he will be forever woven into the fabric of our lives.
