NASHVILLE/COOKEVILLE, TN--A celebration of life service for Mr. Kevin David Bryant, age 52 of Nashville, were held Friday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. His family received friends Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. A memorial service was also held Sunday, March 14th at 3:00 p.m. at Nashville First Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Bryant died suddenly, Sunday March 7, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 30, 1968 in Elizabethtown, KY to Dianne Hurst Bryant and the late Byron R. Bryant. He was a 1986 graduate of Cookeville High School, earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Memphis State University (now University of Memphis) and an MBA in accounting from Tennessee Tech University. Kevin most recently worked at Dollar General Corporation and FedEx. He previously worked at Aramark, Convergys, Central Parking, Service Merchandise, and Crosslin and Associates. Kevin had been an active member of Nashville First Church of the Nazarene since moving to Nashville in 1998. He enjoyed serving others and had a passion for community service. Kevin had also been an active member of Toastmasters International where he earned the designation of ATM Silver Toastmaster and most recently served as the Area 52 Director in district 63. In addition to his mother, he is survived by sisters, Julie Gunter of Woodbury, TN and Pamela (Brent) Rumbley of Mt. Juliet; brother, Dr. Jerald (Tonya) Bryant of Cookeville; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Bethany and Katie Gunter, Luke, Daniel, Sarah and Abigail Bryant, and Samuel, Kaylee and Emily Rumbley.
