Kenny Ramsey

Kenny Ramsey, 70 of Cookeville died Thursday night, April 6, 2023 at his home. His wishes of cremation and no service is being honored.

He was born June 3, 1952 in Putnam County to the late Asberry B. and Ruby Joyce Ward Ramsey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Denton Ramsey, father and mother-in-law Harold and Anna Lee Stafford, brothers-in-law Mark and Richard Stafford, sister-in-law Barbara and husband Joe Flatt.

Kenny was a 1970 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter and a Tennessee Tech University graduate with a degree in business management.

He was a member of Buffalo Valley Church of Christ and a Bible Class teacher.

Kenny retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a rural mail carrier with 30 years of service.

Kenny enjoyed working outdoors on his tractor and feeding the birds.

Survivors include wife of 50 years (Married June 17, 1972) Jan Stafford Ramsey of Cookeville, sisters and brothers-in-law Linda and Charles Maxwell of Cookeville, Leisa and Wayne Huddleston of Nashville, Martha Ramsey of Cookeville, brother and sister-in-law Glenn B. and Judy Ramsey of Cookeville, brothers and sisters-in-law James and Judy Stafford of Baxter, Rachel Stafford and Wanda Stafford both of Cookeville, host of nieces and nephews and beloved friends.
