Kenneth Smith

Mr. Kenneth Alexander Smith, age 88, of Cookeville, and formerly of Charlottesville, VA, passed away Monday September 4 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be planned at a later date. Mr. Smith was born April 19, 1929 in Bedford County, VA to the late Malcolm Alexander and Snowie Banhart Smith. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was retired form General Dynamics in Charlottesville. Kenneth was an avid camper and loved to play dominos. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his son, Gregory Kenneth Smith; and sister, Virginia Toler. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances Meeter Smith, who he married July 14, 1956 in Charlottesville; daughter and son-in-law, Suzzanne and Nate Peet of Mt. Juliet; brother, Russell Smith of Seattle, WA; sister, Ethel Bodin of Richmond, VA; and granddaughter, Ashley Peet as well as several nieces and nephews.
