Kenneth Minnear

Funeral services with military honors Kenneth Frank Minnear, age 74 of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday October 10 at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Maston Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow at Browns Mill Cemetery. His family will receive friends Saturday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Sunday from 11 a.m. until service time. Kenneth passed away Tuesday October 5, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded be his loving family and friends. He was born December 15, 1946 in the Dry Valley Community of Putnam County, TN to the late Frank A. Minnear and Betty T. Kirby Minnear. Kenneth was a member of Hampton's Crossroads Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran having served from 1966-69. Kenneth formerly worked along with his late brother, Donald Minnear as a building contractor. He later worked and retired from Upper Cumberland Electric in Cookeville. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Kugler Minnear, whom he married May 8, 1971 in Cookeville; brother, James (Judy) Minnear of Marion, IN; and sister, Glenda Carol (William) Halfacre of Granville, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Tom and Donald Minnear; and sisters, Linda Maxwell and Mattie Ellen Minnear.
