Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Edward Mansell, 76 of Cookeville, will be held at 1pm Thursday, July 4, at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Thornton and Donnie Vinson officiating. Interment will follow in Brown"�s Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 "� 8pm and again Thursday from 11 am until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Mansell died suddenly July 1, 2013 in the emergency room of Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born January 19, 1937 in Putnam County, TN to the late Harvey Napoleon Mansell and Ruby Lee Whitaker Mansell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Sliger Mansell; two brothers, Clifford and Albert Mansell; and sister, Mildred Mansell. Mr. Mansell was a member of Caney Fork Baptist Church. He was a life-long farmer and operated the Mansell Century Farm. He was instrumental in teaching elementary students in the Ag in the Classroom event at Hyder Burk Agriculture Pavilion. Mr. Mansell was formerly employed from Baxter Manufacturing with over 30 years of service and retired from Fleetguard (Cummins Filtration) with 11 years of service. He was also a great artist with the ability to freehand sketches of nature and farm scenes. He was also known for his woodworking skills. He is survived by his wife, Letha Allison Mansell (whom he married May 1, 1999 in Cookeville); daughter, Susie Mansell of Cookeville; step-daughter, Trudy Cody and husband Preston of Cookeville; two step-sons, Scotty Randolph and wife Rachel of Huntsville, Al, Eddie Randolph and fiancee Kristi Sherrell of Algood; brother and sister-in-law, Taylor and Christine Mansell; five sisters, Lola Flatt, Frances Hitchcock, Christine Vinson, Elnoria "Tootsie"� Presley, and Josephine Haffner all of Cookeville; four step-grandchildren, Chad Craighead and wife Kim, Vince Randolph and wife Kristina, Kisa Cox, and Nicole Randolph; and 12 step-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be nephews and grandson, Michael Brown, Chad Craighead, Glen Hitchock, Alan Mansell, Carl Mansell, Eddie Mansell, James Mansell, Randy Mansell, Donnie Vinson, and Roger Vinson.
