Kenneth D. Ford

Graveside services and interment for Mr. Kenneth Douglas Ford, age 91 of Cookeville, will be held Friday, November 13th at 1:00 p.m. at Arlington of Tennessee Cemetery. Pastor Frank Hickman will officiate. His family will receive friends Friday preceding and following the service at the cemetery. Mr. Ford passed away Tuesday morning, November 10, 2020 at his home. Mr. Ford was born September 27, 1929 in Putnam County, TN to the late Joe Dow and Alice Hayes Ford. He moved from Cookeville to Dayton, Ohio in 1947 where he worked at General Motors as a machinist for 31years. He returned to Cookeville in 1991 and was a longtime member of Eastwood Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Alma Sue Horn Ford; sister, Christine Bates; and by brothers, George Ford, Travis Henry Ford, JD Ford, Clifton 'Tutt' Ford and Donald Ford. He is survived by sons, Kenneth (Donna) Ford of Hilliard, OH, Dow Ford of Dayton, OH; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. His hobbies included a life time interest in horses, approximately 50 years of leather crafting, playing guitar and a life-long interest in country music.
