Ken Standifer

Kenneth Maupin Standifer, age 68 of Cookeville, passed away suddenly Monday morning June 8, 2020 at his home. Ken was born September 20, 1951 in Signal Mountain, TN to the late Dion and Mary Jane Maupin Standifer. He was a member of Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ. He was retired from Midas with over 35 years of service. Ken was most comfortable wearing overalls and loafers and could often be seen at the golf course. He had solid beliefs and strong principals. He was the rock for his family and close friends. He is survived by his daughter, Meagan Standifer of White House, TN; son, Jake Standifer (fiance, Sarah Myers) of Knoxville; sweetheart, Jenny Spurlock of Cookeville; two brothers, Doug Standifer of Cookeville, and Jack (Deborah) Standifer of Birmingham, AL; and grandson, Liam Standifer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Standifer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 10 at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ. Bobby Lane will officiate. Friends are invited to come by the church to sign the guest book and pay their respects on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Johnson Lewis Cemetery in Dunlap, TN.
