Keith Kinniard, Jr.

BAXTER-Funeral services for Keith Kinniard, Jr., 67 of Silver Point, will be Saturday, August 13 at 1PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Smellage Memory Gardens in the Boma Community of Putnam County. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 8 and Saturday after 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Herb Leftwich and Bro. Charlie Wills will officiate. Keith, Jr. died suddenly Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born February 12, 1955 in Cookeville to the late Clarence Keith Kinniard, Sr. and Willene Waller Kinniard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Katie Kinniard Worley on November 27, 2015. He was a 1973 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter, where he played football, basketball and baseball. He also played church, industrial and open league league softball for many years. Keith, Jr. was a life member of New Home Baptist Church in Boma. He was also a board member of Smellage Cemetery Board. He retired from the TVA with 20+ years of service. He enjoyed UHS football and was most passionate for University of Tennessee football. Survivors include wife of 42 years (Married July 25, 1980) Jean Watts Kinniard, son Josh Kinniard both of Silver Point, aunts and uncles: Sandy and Dennis Cunningham, Bill and Brenda Waller and his TVA brothers. Active Pallbearers will be Virgle Brown, Jr., David Brown, Marlin Haggard, JD Burgess, Donald Harris , Scottie Roberts and Bill Waller. Honorary Pallbearers were Keith Jr.'s TVA brothers.
