Kay Mires

Funeral services for Kay Ann Mires, 72 of Baxter will be Tuesday, Janaury 22 at 1 P.M. from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home with interment in Judd Cemetery in the Bethlehem Community of Putnam County. Mrs. Mires died Sunday morning, January 20, 2013 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born January 1, 1941 in Putnam County to the late Jessie and Hazel Herren Randolph. She was a member of Bussell Church of Christ and loved to quilt and garden. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons Terry and Dale Mires, a sister Faye Randolph. Survivors include Husband of 46 years Charles Mires (whom she married January 14, 1967 in Baxter), two daughters and sons-in-law Charlene and Jeff Allen, Paula and Jimmy Smith, brother and sister-in-law J.D. & Wilma Randolph all of Baxter, three grandchildren: Mikayla Allen, Lucas Allen and Miranda Smith. Special cousins, Jo Sparks and Sue Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews and other cousins. Bro. Denton Ramsey will officiate. Family & friends will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. and Tuesday after 11 A.M. at the funeral home.
