Kathy Thomas

Mrs. Margaret Kathleen Thomas, age 68, of Baxter, passed away November 30, 2016 at her home in Baxter, TN. Friends and family are invited to a visitation gathering at Dyer Funeral Home Saturday, December 3, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. She was born January 3, 1948 in Rutherford County, TN to the late Tom and Minnie Alice Hargis Chaffin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Wayne, Jerry, Tilmon and Billy Chaffin; and a sister, Geraldine Chaffin. Kathy was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed reading, tending flowers, and caring for her dogs. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, CJ Thomas, whom he married December 19, 1987 in Cookeville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Zeb and Patricia Waller, Tommy and Annette Waller, Tony and Sherri Carver all of Cookeville; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight and Brenda Thomas, Joey and Jamie Thomas of Cookeville; four step-daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette and Carroll Irby, Maxine Traps all of Smithville; Janice and Tommy Long, Marsha and Gary Stockton all of Baxter; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo and Lily Chaffin of Manchester, TN, Thomas Jr. and Francis Chaffin of Eagleville, TN; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
