Kathy Cantrell

Funeral services for Mrs. Kathy Cantrell, age 68 of Cookeville, will be held Friday October 20th at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Shipley Cemetery. Bro. Kevin Daughrity will officiate.

Her family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cantrell died Friday October 13, 2023 at her residence.

One of fourteen children, she was born November 8, 1954 in Cookeville to the late Kelly and Lola Copeland Brown.

Kathy was a lifelong resident of Cookeville and was a graduate of Tennessee Tech University. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed spending time outdoors in her garden. She was friendly, outgoing and eager and ready to help others. She attended Sycamore Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Thomas Brown, Melvin Brown, Keith Brown, Charles Brown, Casto Brown, Roger Brown, Joyce Wright and Doris Ramos.

Survivors include her husband of over 40 years, Donald Cantrell, daughters, Terri Marie and Mekil Pisuto; grandson, Erik Pisute; and by siblings, Lois (Charles) Dial, Corrine (Harold) Albertson, Myrl Brown, Leo (Brenda) Brown and Carl (Rose) Brown.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
