Katharina Hughes

Mrs. Katharina Hughes, age 83 of Baxter passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 at her home. Katharina was born November 29, 1927 in Kolbermoor, Germany to the late Johann Sonnleitner and Sabina Doblinger. Mrs. Hughes was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Jeromes Catholic church in West Long Branch, New Jersey. After migrating to America, Katharina gained her citizenship as a U.S. citizen. She was a homemaker, loving mother and wife. Mrs. Hughes is survived by two children; John Hughes (wife Carol) of Baxter TN and Annabelle Olson of Aberdeen APG MD. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Michael Hughes of Baxter TN, Cheryl Terry (husband Joe) of Kearns, Utah, Heather Olson and Kyle Olson both of Colts Neck, New Jersey. Her first great-grandchild is due in December. Katharina was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Hughes. The family has chosen cremation and her cremains will be placed in New Jersey by her husband.
