Funeral services for Mrs. Karen Yvonne Smith, 54 of Baxter, will be held Thursday, August 27th at 5 p.m. from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Rev. Bill Stone will officiate. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 3 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born May 24, 1961 in Detroit, MI to Jewell Rozinski and the late Donald Ray Smith. She was a 1979 graduate of Casa Grande High School in Arizona. Her family moved to Tennessee later that year. She was employed as a factory worker at Tutco in Cookeville for over 30 years. A funny, good hearted person who made everyone laugh, Karen was ‘the life of the party'. She loved animals, especially her dog Butter and cats Henry and Hairy Man. In addition her father, she was preceded in death by ��������her grandparents, James ‘Jim' Johnson and Dorothy Johnson; and by uncle, Robert Charles ‘R.C' Callahan. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Sherry Thatcher of Smithville; aunt, Shawna (Kenny) Delon of Spencer; uncle, Ray (Frances) Daniels of Cookeville; nephews and nieces, Travis (Chelsie) Bryant, Tristan Bryant, Garon Delon and Rachel (Lacy) Delon; great nieces and nephews, Anna Bell, Tyler and Everett Bryant; cousins, Timothy and Donna Daniels; special friends, Misty Lane, Carol Bybee, Lisa Sims, Lisa Stewart, Sherry Overton, Bonetta Whitehead; and all her Tutco family.
