Karen Nanette Matzen

Funeral services for Karen N. Matzen, 52, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 17, at the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cooke Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until time of services at the funeral home. Ms. Matzen died Friday, May 15, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 26, 1956, in Detroit MI to Kenneth and Margaret Nelson.. Ms. Matzen was a Registered Nurse and worked in the medical field for 32 years. She was also a member of the Church of Christ. Her family includes Her daughter, Alisha Matzen, who lovingly took care of her mother; her parents, Kenneth and Margaret Nelson. Two sisters; Melissa Draper and husband Steve of Highland; Regina Wilson and husband Vernon of Cookeville Seven nieces and nephews. Brother Jason Hart of Sycamore Church of Christ will officiate the services.
