Karen Macke

A memorial service for Mrs. Karen Faye Macke, age 61 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday June 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Kevin Conrad will officiate. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. Mrs. Macke passed away Wednesday April 1, 2020 at her residence. She was born February 12, 1959 in Russell Springs, KY to the late Attis D. and Mae Belle Meece Rexroat. Karen was a loving wife and mother, a proud grandmother (Grammy), and a great friend to all who knew her. She was an enthusiastic educator to hundreds of children over the past 38 years; she loved and was excited about teaching until the end. Karen is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charlie Macke; son, Adam Charles Macke and wife Desiree' of Fayetteville, GA; daughter, Hannah Macke Day and husband Chase of Augusta, GA; three grandchildren, Alexander Macke, Isabelle Macke and Roman Day; brothers, Ronald Dwayne Rexroat and wife Judy, Darrell Edwin Rexroat and wife Rose, and Curtis Alan Rexroat and wife Mary Jo; sisters, Annette Rexroat Cheak and husband Bob, Paulette Rexroat Roy and husband Darrell, Pam Rexroat Cooper and husband Don, and Mary Ann Rexroat Wooldridge and husband Leon; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
