Junior Laley Harris

BAXTER-Memorial services and military honors for Junior Laley Harris, 80 of Silver Point will be Saturday, September 8 at 1 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Mr. Harris died Friday, August 17, 2018 at Mabry Health Care & Rehab in Gainesboro, TN. He was born November 4, 1937 in Silver Point to the late Robert Waldo and Ethel Vickers Harris. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Shanks Harris on August 24, 2011, sisters Hilda Hoff and Judy Gentry. He attended Baxter Seminary. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was a retired janitor with Aquatech of Cookeville. He attended Silver Point Baptist Church. Survivors include sons Alan Harris and Daniel Harris both of Silver Point. Family will receive friends Saturday after 11 AM at the funeral home.
