COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Judy Ann Germain, beloved member of the Cookeville Community, passed away at her residence on Wednesday March 12, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on November 12, 1953, in the Dodson Branch Community of Jackson County, Tennessee, she was a woman of remarkable dedication and kindness.
Recently retired from Aphena, where she devoted over 20 years of service, Judy was widely respected for her hardworking nature and her commitment to performing tasks with a sense of duty and care. Her personality shone through in her interactions with others, always willing to lend a helping hand and do things for those around her.
Judy had a variety of interests that brought her joy and fulfillment. She had a passion for gardening, often nurturing plants with patience and love. With a talent for baking, she became known for her delightful cakes that her friends and family enjoyed. Additionally, Judy found pleasure in hosting yard sales and working in her yard. An animal lover at heart, she often took in stray animals for rehabilitation, frequently keeping them as cherished pets.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Floyd Germain; their son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Kelli Germain; her brothers, Leroy Green and Bobby Green (Tina); her sister, Barbara Harris; and her grandson, Camden Germain. Judy's legacy will continue to live on through her family, who hold dear the memories of her unwavering love and support.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Green and Chalus Moody Green; her brother, Phillip Green; and her sister, Kathleen Scott.
A funeral service honoring Judy will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday March 18 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Visitation for friends and family will be on Monday from 6 - 8 p.m., and again on Tuesday from 10 - 11 a.m. Judy will be laid to rest at Smith Chapel Cemetery.
Judy Ann Germain will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, a testament to her vibrant spirit and the love she shared throughout her life.
