Funeral services for Judith (Judi) Ann Dobbins Williams, age 74, of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday February 21 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Bro. John Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Judi passed away Thursday afternoon February 15, 2018 at Signature Health Care of Putnam County. She was born December 25, 1943 in Detroit, MI to the late Charles Albert Sr. and Vera Clara Laird Dobbins. Ms. Judi as she is affectionately known, was a member of Jefferson Ave. Church of Christ. She was formerly employed at the Herald-Citizen and Sears in Cookeville. She was a longtime volunteer for the WTCE Great TV Auction. She also supported children in Haiti through the Christian ministry www.LiveBeyond.org, the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Efforts, and she was always quick to help children in need of food and school supplies at Jere Whitson Elementary School. Judi loved to travel to foreign countries, explore America, and take cruises. She is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Albert, Jr. and Suzanne Dobbins of Alpine, TX; Richard and Nancy Dobbins of Duxbury, MA; David and Lynn Dobbins of Haymarket, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Williams; and son, Mark Williams. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
