Funeral services for Judith Sandra Whiting, age 68 of Cookeville, will be held Sunday, April 7, at 3 p.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church in Cookeville. Rev. Robert Row and Rev. Caleb Cangelosi officiate and burial will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Whiting died Thursday April 4, 2013 at her residence. She was born June 1, 1944 in Michigan to the late Clay and Marie Caskey. Mrs. Whiting was dearly loved by her family. She was a charter member of Grace Presbyterian Church upon its founding in 1993. Her service in the church included entertaining and scrapbooking church events and sermons for 10 years. Judi had a zest for life and made everyone feel special. She loved God and her family. Her heart went out to those who were friendless and hurting. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and friend .... and a wonderful cook. Her family includes her husband of 29 years, Charles Whiting; two daughters , Marie Elizabeth Hofmann and husband Claus of Pogradec, Albania and Leah Dawn Quarles and husband Roy Quarles Jr. of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren, Jacquelyn Quarles, Kai Hofmann, Logan Charles Quarles, Silas Hofmann and Isabella Quarles; brother, Bill Caskey and wife Linda of Sparta, sister, Debbie Kapp and husband Virgil of Ocala, FL; three nephews Kirk Caskey, Dale Caskey, and Joel Kapp; three nieces Jennifer Kapp, Lisa Caskey, Rebekah Cook; the Richards"� family- Darryl, Mary, Daniel, Josh, Jonathan and Anna; and Dusty the Horse.
