Funeral services for Mrs. Juda (Judy) Anne Dillon McNabb, age 75, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 6, at Cookeville First Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Hutchinson and Rev. Steve Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hills Cemetery in Alpine, TN. Her family will receive friends Friday from 5 - 8 pm at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home and again Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Judy passed away Tuesday evening, August 2, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was born October 24, 1940 in Alpine, TN to the late Byrd and Jessie Smith Dillon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twin infant brothers, Jimmy and Johnny. Judy was member of Cookeville First Baptist Church for over 35 years. She taught 7th and 8th grade English Literature at Baxter Elementary School in the early 1970's, and later became a full time homemaker after the birth of her third child. She was an avid reader and artist. Her painting "Shipwrecked" was selected in the Lilly Oncology Art Competition and Exhibition to be displayed in hospitals, cancer centers and patient advocacy group events across the United States. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Larry McNabb (whom she married September 9, 1962 in Livingston, TN); three children and their spouses, K'Cindra and Michael Cavin of Cookeville, James and Chris McNabb of Huntsville, AL, Mary and Michael Madden of Nashville; seven grandchildren, John (Heather) Weidekamp of Knoxville, Andrew Weidekamp of Cookeville, Erin, Reid, Megan, and Seth McNabb of Huntsville, Noah Madden of Nashville, three step-grandchildren, Tyler, Tori, and Drew Cavin; one great-granddaughter, Ava Weidekamp; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Judy Dillon of Livingston, Donnie and Angela Dillon of Mt. Juliet, David and Pam Dillon of Cookeville; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Serving as pallbearers are John Weidekamp, Reid McNabb, Michael Cavin, Michael Madden, Dr. Jeff Crosier, and Larry Merkley. Honorary pallbearers are Andrew Weidekamp, Seth McNabb, and Noah Madden. Memorial contributions may be made to CRMC Cancer Care Fund, One Medical Center Blvd, Cookeville, TN 38501. Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
