Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Loftis Schroeder, age 89 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday December 5 at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Buddy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Mrs. Schroeder's family will receive friends on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Schroeder died Wednesday evening December 2, 2015 in Upper Cumberland Hospice and Palliative Care in Cookeville. She was born January 10, 1926 in Putnam County, Tennessee to the late Frank and Elma Roberts Phillips. She was a long-time member of Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ and a former member of Willow Avenue Church of Christ. Mrs. Schroeder was a retired associate of McCord's. She was well-known to all for her love and devotion to her Lord Jesus Christ and to her three children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Courtney. Survivors include her husband, Lyman Schroeder (whom she married December 24, 2002 in Gatlinburg, TN); daughter, Gail Woodard of Baxter; two sons and daughters-in-law, Philip and Angela Loftis of Huntsville, Al and Gary and Theresa Loftis of Midland, MI; four grandchildren, Jodi Lovely, Teri Burt, April Rollins, and Adam Woodard; seven great grandchildren; and sister, Zelda Nelson of Cookeville. Pallbearers will be Shane Cobb, Jake Cobb, Buddy King, Adam Woodard, Toby Rollins, and Mike Alexander.
