Joyce West

Family graveside services and interment for Joyce Marie West, age 89 of Baxter, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday January 14 at Smellage Memory Gardens. Bro. Archie Whitefield officiated. Mrs. West passed away Monday January 11, 2021 at her home. She was born May 21, 1931 in Cookeville, TN to the late Clive and Mary Ruth Helms Waller. She was retired from Tennessee Tech University having worked in the DW Matson Computer Center. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, James West; son, Jimmy (Rhonda) West; daughters, Christy Palmer, and Mary West Myatt, all of Baxter; grandchildren, Aimee Palmer, Toni Paradis, Jamie West, Andrew Myatt, and Brandi Myatt; great grandchildren, McKenzee, Hunter, Rylee, Olivia, James, Miranda, Cory, Lauren, Stevie, and Hank; and great-great grandchildren, Naliyah, Isaiah, and Levi. In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Richard and Robert Waller; and sisters, Eileen Jernigan. Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
