Funeral Services for Joyce Ann James, 76 of Silver Point will be Tuesday, Apr. 7 at 2 P.M. from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home with interment in the Maynard Cemetery in the Cherry Hill Community of DeKalb County. Mrs. James died Sunday morning April 5, 2015 in NHC of Smithville. She was born December 18, 1938 in Putnam County to the late Richard Jr. and Ruby Callie Presley Cronk. She was a retired assembler with the Welch Factory in Gordonsville, Tn and Le-al-co of Lebanon, TN. She was a member of Silver Point Baptist Church. She loved to sew, make quilt tops, doing puzzle books and watching soap operas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters Lois Murray and Doris Fleming, brothers Morris Cronk and Horace Cronk. Survivors include husband of 53 years Freddie Ray James (whom she married July 20, 1961 in Putnam County); five daughters and sons-in-law Sharon James of Algood, Karen and William Clark of Bloomington Springs, Sara Flatt, Sandy Baker both of Cookeville, Reada and Brian Hodgin of Crossville, two sons and daughters-in-law Ray and Marian James of Chestnut Mound, Michael and Pam James of Cookeville, brother and sister-in-law Gary and Sue Cronk of Cookeville, 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, including special great grandson Mason Clark , whom she helped raise. Active Pallbearers will be Stephen, Jason and Joseph Flatt, Matt James, Casey Thomas, Andy Hodgin, William Clark and Brian Hodgin.
