BAXTER-Funeral services for Jordan Tyler "JT" Burgess, 33 of Baxter, will be Sunday, October 15 at 2 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Smellage Memory Gardens in the Boma Community of Putnam County. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 8 PM and after 11AM Sunday at the funeral home. Bro. Herb Leftwich will officiate.

JT died Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at his home.

He was born August 15, 1990 in Cookeville to JD Burgess of Baxter and the late Michele Burgess.

JT was a 2009 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter, where he excelled in football and basketball.

Survivors Wife Jennifer McBride Burgess, Father JD Burgess and sisters Casey Burgess and Ashley Burgess, brother Joshua "Josh" Burgess, niece Doodles, nephew Lige all of Baxter, a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Active pallbearers will be Zack Young, Brandon Strock, Ethan Christian, Spence Jones, Cole Martin, Dustin Burgess and Lige.

In lieu of flowers please make donations toward the funeral expenses.
