Jonnie Capps

Mrs. Jonnie Dillon McKinley Capps, age 94, of Algood, passed away Sunday December 23, 2018 at Signature Health Care. Mrs. Capps was born Thursday February 14, 1924 in Algood, to the late Stanton and Ethel Poston Dillion. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Doak Capps, son Michael McKinley and granddaughter, Virginia Ann Bilbrey. Survivors include her daughter Suzanne McKinley Osborne of Roanoke, VA; sons, Mark McKinley and Patrick McKinley of Cookeville; grandchildren, Mark Osborne of Algood, Patrick and Melissa McKinley of Cookeville; great grandchildren Scarlett and Cole Bilbrey, Robert and Justin Kirby and River McKinley and great-great grandson Jaydin Bilbrey. Mrs. Capps was a graduate of TTU and a retired social worker for the State of Tennessee. She had a quick wit and was gracious and charming to all she encountered. She was an amazing woman and has set the bar high for those remaining behind to cherish her memory. She will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 26 at 1 p.m. at Algood Family Event Center (formerly Algood Chapel-Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home) with Chaplain Melinda Bilbrey officiating. Interment will follow in Algood City Cemetery. Her family will receive guests one hour before services.
