Jonathan Jay Hargis

Funeral services with military honors for Jonathan Jay Hargis, age 38, of Cookeville, will be Friday August 24 at 6 p.m. at Dyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. until time of services. Jonathan passed away suddenly Monday August 20, 2018 at his home. He was born April 16, 1980 in Bad Bruckenau, Germany. Jonathan served with the US Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by grandparents Fred Hargis and Birdie Hargis and William (Ed) Palk and Ethel (Mama Ral) Palk all of Bloomington Springs, TN. Jonathan is survived by his parents Jay C. Hargis, Cookeville, TN and Janice Palk McLatchy, and husband Walter McLatchy Cleveland, TN; one sister, Tammy Marie Carver, who lives in South Korea with husband Major Thomas A. Carver; four nephews and two nieces, T.J. Carver, Brent Carver, Joshua Carver, Amelia Carver, Joseph Carver, Molly Carver.
