Johnny Walker

DYER CHAPEL - John "Johnny" Walker, age 63, peacefully passed away on Monday January 13, 2025 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center to go two-step with the angels. He was born October 12, 1961 in Phoenix, AZ

After a life of being stubborn and tough as nails, John Kevin Walker finally met a more aggressive opponent. The way he died is just like he lived: he wrote his own rules, he challenged authority, and he paved his own way. He was known to friends and family as “Johnny,” and he’ll lovingly be remembered for the laughter he brought to family gatherings, fishing trips, and local watering holes. We’ll never forget how he grabbed life by the belt loops, kissed it, and swung it back on the dance floor. 

Since Johnny loved the outdoors, the family will honor his wish to be cremated and spread his ashes privately where he can soak in the sunrises and sunsets forever. If you’d like to celebrate his life, please consider paying someone’s open bar tab at your local dive in lieu of sending flowers.
