JOHN FERRELL COOKEVILLE-A gathering of family and friends for Johnny "JOHN" Dawane Ferrell, 62 of Cookeville will be Monday, October 26 from 1 to 3 PM. Chaplain Jim McAfee will officiate and military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard at 3 PM. Mr. Ferrell died Friday, October 23, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born October 11, 1958 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late Melvin and Zelda Lily Ferrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Janet Dolin and Arvilla Pasenan, brothers Ray and Dale Ferrell. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps and Army. He was a retired truck driver and very family oriented. John enjoyed fishing and Oakland Raiders football. He was a loyal friend, great husband, father and grandfather, loved by many and will be greatly missed. Survivors include wife of 37 years (Married December 6, 1982) Catherine Jones Ferrell of Cookeville, daughters Misty (Ashley) Ferrell, Heather Ferrell, son Jason Ferrell all of Cookeville, sisters Alice Jackson of Ohio, Anna Carey of Florida, brother Doug Ferrell of Michigan, grandchildren: Brandon, Bailey and Wyatt Ferrell.
