John Cullum Jared

Funeral services for John C. Jared, age 64, of Cookeville will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010 from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home with burial to follow in LaFever Family Cemetery in Dekalb County. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 7 from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home chapel. Mr. Jared passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born August 21, 1945 in Putnam County to the late A. C. (Red) Jared and Mona Johnson Jared. John was a self employed truck driver for many years before he became disabled. he was a devoted brother, father, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. John is survived by two sons: Jacen Jared of Murfreesboro and Kris Jared and wife Wendi of Cookeville; two daughters: Kari Ushman and husband Alvin of Murfreesboro and Lynnette Hibbs of Michigan. He is also survived by one sister, Lynda Robbins of Rickman, seven grandchildren; Brooklyn and Brayden Jared and Braxton, Addison and Peyton Jared, Katie and Jessica Hibbs: and two great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Brenda Mahaney Jared, John was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers for the service will be Shaney Williams, John Cole Robbins, Keith Payne, Timothy Lee Reid, Colby Reid, and Craig Farris. Bro. Jim Moore will conduct the services. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
