Funeral services for Mr. Joe Taylor Randolph, 71 of Cookeville, will be held Monday January 20 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Bro Kevin Thomas and Rev. Sam Rainer officiating. Interment will in Brown's Mill Cemetery. Mr. Randolph died Friday afternoon January 17, 2014 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born February 10, 1942 in Cookeville to the late Virgil and Myrtie Walker Randolph. Mr. Randolph worked a number of years as an auto mechanic with the former Holt's Amoco located on Spring Street where the Putnam County Justice Center now stands. He retired from the maintenance department with Edgar Evins State Park. He was a member of Cookeville First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Virlon and Vaden Lee Randolph. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Judy Hammons Randolph (whom he married September 19, 1964 in Rickman); son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Bonnie Randolph all of Cookeville; grandchildren, Amanda and Sarah Randolph; two brothers, Verble Randolph of Cookeville and Bobby (Sandi) Randolph of Algood; sister-in-law, Marie Eldridge of Hilham; and two brothers-in-law, Dana Hammons of Livingston and Doyle (LuAnn) Hammons of Two Rivers, WI. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Randolph's family will receive friends Sunday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
