Funeral services for JoAnn Winfree Myers, 79, of Tellico Village in Loudon County, TN and formerly of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, September 26 at 11 a.m. (CST) in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with interment to follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Bro. Mark Loftis will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 9 a.m. (CST) until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Myers died Sunday evening, September 23, 2012 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born March 26, 1933 in Putnam County, TN to the late Alton J. and Clara Mae Loftis Winfree. Mrs. Myers was a homemaker. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking, painting, traveling, clogging and working in her flower garden. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John Myers of Tellico Village (married February 19, 1949 in Rossville, GA); two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Susan Myers of Jasper, GA, Michael and Lentyn Myers of Loudon, TN; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marsha and Wayne Johnson of Chesterfield, VA, Patricia Evans of Oak Ridge, TN; nine grandchildren, Angela Shaw, Wally Shaw, Mandy Williams, Randy Shaw, Lindsey Green, Drew Walker, Sonja Chance, Christina Haley and Stephanie Myers and 15 great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Cindy Winfree of Cookeville, niece, Sarah Winfree and nephew, Alan Winfree. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children"�s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 355 Trane Lane, Knoxville, TN 37919.
