BAXTER-Memorial services for Mattie Jo Nunally Clinton, 61, of Baxter, will be Saturday, September 24 at 11 AM at the Baxter United Methodist Church. Mrs. Clinton passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She was born October 12, 1954 in Cookeville to the late Charles Martin, Sr. and Cleo Lundy Nunally. She was a 1972 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter and a 1976 graduate of Tennessee Tech University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She was a retired teacher at Baxter Elementary School and also worked with special needs children until her retirement in 2015. She was a member of Baxter United Methodist Church. She loved her family, especially her grandkids. Survivors include husband of 39 years (Married June 4, 1977 in Baxter) Michael "MIKE" Clinton of Baxter, daughter and son-in-law Brooke and Kyle Bradley of Monterey, son and daughter-in-law Todd and Stayce Clinton of the Center Grove Community of Jackson County, sisters Laura Bilbrey of Pikeville and Jane Benzing of Jacksonville, FL., brother Charles "CHUCK" Nunally of Baxter, grandchildren: L.K. and Casto Michael Bradley, Bryce Clinton, mother-in-law Winnie Clinton, brothers and sisters-in-law Carol and Nolan Goolsby, Karen and Jerry Newport and James and Bonnie Clinton all of Cookeville, several nieces and nephews. Rev. T.J. Bennett will officiate with the eulogy delivered by Chuck Nunally. Family will receive friends at Baxter United Methodist Church Friday from 5 to 8 PM and from 10 to 11 AM Saturday.
