J.L. Phillips

Graveside service and interment for J. L. Phillips, 83 of Cookeville, will be Tuesday, December 22 at 2 PM at West Cemetery in the Burgess Falls Community. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home. Bro. Doyle Crawford will officiate. Mr. Phillips died Monday, December 21, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 8, 1937 in Monterey to the late William and Dora Norrod Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 daughters-in-law Judy Phillips and Anna Phillips, sister Clio Stamps, brothers MB, AG and Clyde Phillips. He was a retired truck driver with Builders Supply of Cookeville. JL was a member of O'Connor Church of Christ. Survivors include wife of 55 years (Married December 11, 1965) Lennie Nash Phillips of Cookeville, daughters and sons-in-law Brucenia Lynn and Danny Spain of Clarksville, Phyllis and James Pedigo of Cookeville, sons and daughters-in-law Darrin and Janie Phillips, Jackie and Loretta Phillips, Joey and Rebecca Phillips all of Cookeville, sisters and brother-in-law Annalene Tabors, Annadale and Billy Joe "Bunt" Hedgecough, Odean Tudor all of Monterey, brothers and a sister-in-law Dexter Phillips and Doris Ray and Gail Phillips all of Monterey, 13 grandchildren 27 great-grandchildren..
