Jimmy Young

A celebration of life event for Jimmy E. Young, 49 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, October 29th from 5-8p.m. at the Algood Family Event Center (124 1st Avenue Algood, TN). Please join the family to share stories and remembrances of Jimmy. He passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at his residence. He was born May 6, 1965 to Jim Young Sr. of Fayetteville, TN and Jane Elizabeth Muse Wakefield of Carthage, TN. Jimmy worked as a salesman with Can-Do National Tape for 25 years. In addition to his parents, his family includes his wife of 25 years, Laura Norton Young; two sons, Kevin and Carter Young; step-sister, Amanda Owen; mother-in-law, Sandra Ragland; father-in-law, Richard Norton; sister-in-law, Gail Norton; nieces and nephews, Turner and Adelynn Owen and Meghan and Justin Sliger; and by several life-long friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Jimmy's favorite charity- St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148 or to a mission-work he was involved with- The Priority House, 1226 Byrne Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501.
