Funeral services for Mr. Jesse Winford Wright, 78, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, November 17 at 1 p.m. at Howard Chapel AME Church in Hartsville, TN with Rev. Albert Strawther officiating. Interment will follow in Beech Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home and Saturday from noon until service time at the church. Mr. Wright passed away Tuesday morning, November 13, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born April 29, 1934 in Macon County, TN to the late Albert Franklin and Hazel Leslie Johnson Wright. Mr. Wright was a member of Howard Chapel AME Church. He retired from the housekeeping department at Cookeville Regional Medical Center with over 24 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Lee Wright, brother, Carl F. Wright and stepmother, Stella Wright. Mr. Wright is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carol Johnson Wright (whom he married May 14, 1976 in Pittsburg); three daughters and a son-in-law, Debra and Levins Fancher of Pittsburg, PA, Bebra Wright of Bowling Green, KY and Anna Wright of Cookeville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse and Margaret Wright, Jr. of Cookeville and Fredrick and Bridgette Wright of Pittsburg, PA; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, David and Helen Wright of Lebanon, William Wright, Harold and Lauren Wright all of Murfreesboro; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marian Wright of Hartsville and Hazel and Earl Chumney of Lebanon; 21 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
