Funeral services for Mr. Jesse Paul Bowman, age 84 of Cookeville will be held Tuesday January 30th at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Double Springs Cemetery. Charles West will officiate. Jesse's family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Jesse died Sunday morning January 28, 2018 in Signature Health Care Center of Putnam County in Algood. He was born January 27, 1934 in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late Zollie Howard and Velma Harris Bowman. He was a member of McBroom's Chapel Church of Christ. Jesse was a great handyman who loved to tinker with anything with a motor, especially cars and trucks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Verlie Brewer Bowman who died December 5, 2012. Survivors include his son, Larry Bowman; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Barry Gambrell all of Cookeville; and granddaughter, Shannon Gambrell of Kingsport, TN.
