Jeraldine "Jeri" Schroepfer

Mrs. Jeraldine “Jeri” Schroepfer, age 74, of Cookeville, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at her home and surrounded by her family. She was born April 15, 1936 in Chicago IL to the late Joseph Vachy and Margaret Gill Vachy. After spending several years as secretary to the supervisor of Grant Township in Ingleside IL, she moved to Cookeville 20 years ago to enjoy her retirement, and to indulge in the things she loved such as horticulture, wildlife, the outdoors, and visiting with her family. She had a quick wit and a large heart and will be deeply missed by her loved ones. Her family includes two children: Scott Schroepfer and wife Crystal of Baxter TN, and Spring Fabos and husband Ken of Bradenton FL, as well as her two grandchildren, Starlight Fabos of Palatine IL and Shyera Schroepfer of Baxter TN. Jeri is also survived by her five sisters: Barbara Barthel of Wausau WI, Rose Ann Bright of New Port Richey FL, Margaret Vachy of Chicago IL, Marlene Witte and husband Brian of Spring Hill FL, and Aleta Adams and husband Mark of Island Lake IL The family has chosen cremation, with a memorial to follow at a later date.
