Jennie Mcglohn

BAXTER-Funeral services for Jennie Cordelia McGlohn, age 101 of Cookeville and formerly of Paris, TN, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday November 29 at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Charlie Wills will officiate.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time.

Graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday November 30 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Paris, TN.

Jennie passed away Sunday November 20, 2022 in Charter Senior Living in Cookeville.

She was born January 2, 1921 in Swiftown, MS to the late James Newton Morton and Annie Lucy Nickels Morton.

Jennie was a member of Paris First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bridge games with friends and working in her yard. Jennie was also a talented seamstress.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mary (Terry) Gant of Silver Point, TN, Jennie (Richard) Henzel of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Sarah (Jonathan) Currence, Terry (Ali) Gant, Samuel Henzel, and Fred Henzel; and ten great grandchildren, Charity, JT, Aubrielle, Elizabeth, Eivin, Addison, and Calvin Currence, Lydia, Eamon, and Carmac Gant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Neil McGlohn Jr., and two sisters, Helen Morton and Lucy Hackleman.
