Funeral services for Jeffery Allen Thompson, age 55, of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 2 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Ceylonda Lee officiating. Interment will follow at the West End Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Thompson passed away suddenly Tuesday November 28, 2017. He was born June 29, 1962 in Cookeville, TN to Elisha King of Cookeville and the late Theila Thompson King. Mr. Thompson was employed at Dana Corporation in Gordonsville, TN for over 20 years. In addition to his father, he is survived by two sisters, Jo Anne King and Janell (Joey) Vernon both of Cookeville; dear friend, Dana Thompson of Woodbury; step-children, Joseph Givens of Woodbury, Stephen (Alyssa) Pride of Hartsville, and Brittany Givens of Carthage; two nephews, Charlton (Kyston) King, Benjamin (Bethany) Vernon; two nieces, Destiny and Jasmine Vernon; special grandchildren, Jada Givens, Davin and Ka'Marie Givens and Talon, Kendall and Tate Pride; 13 great great nieces and nephews. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Dinner will be served at the Silver Point Community Center after services. Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
