Funeral services for Jeffrey Lynn Jones, age 58 of Cookeville, will be held Monday, February 7th at 11:00 a.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Eddie Turner will officiate. His family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Jones died Thursday February 3, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born August 18, 1963 in Jackson County, TN to Zodell Jones and the late Sidney Jones. Jeff was employed as a machine shop operator. He enjoyed life and was always seen with a smile on his face. He was a giving man, proudly serving as a Mason and Shriner as a member of Cookeville Masonic Lodge #266 F&AM. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He was devoted to his family and will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. In addition to his mother, he is survived by son, Brian Jones; daughter, Rachel (David) Blackwell, all of Cookeville; sisters, Glenda (Jamup) Mayberry and Brenda (Garry) Graham; brother, Nathan (Mary) Jones, all of Jackson County; and by nieces and nephews, Nathan Jones, Jr., Christie Jones, Kimberly McQuiston, Gregory Mayberry and Grant Mayberry. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Jill Covert, and ex-wife, Lesa Jones. Keith Taylor, Lucas Medlin, Ken Matheney, Harold Simcox, Bryant Presley and John Spencer will serve as pallbearers. Sheriff Eddie Farris and Gary Dillon will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are suggested to be made to Al Menah Shrine Temple, 1354 Brick Church Pike, Nashville, TN 37207.
