Robert Jeffrey Cooper, age 61, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical after a long struggle with his health. He was born February 4, 1957 to Bob and Williene Cooper. He graduated from White County High in 1975 and enlisted in the army in 1976. He was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany, and later was a member of the National Guard. He graduated from Tennessee Tech with a BS in education in 1987, and later received his Master's in Special Education from MTSU. He worked in both traditional and non traditional education systems for over 20 years. Jeff was deeply dedicated to his family. He greatly appreciated nature, music, and literature. He was committed to learning and spent his entire life increasing his knowledge and teaching others. He is preceded in death by his parents Bob and Williene, and survived by: his wife Ruth Cooper, his three daughters Claire, Grace, and Sarah, and his two grandchildren Robbie and Brena. Family and friends will gather on Friday, February 8th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. for visitation at Willow Place Conference Center (Cascade Hall) with a service to begin at 6:00 p.m. The service will be followed by a time of remembrance with food and fellowship.
