Jean Darrow

BAXTER-Funeral services for Irma Jean Darrow, 83 of Silver Point, will be Saturday, October 14 at 11 AM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Crow officiating. Interment will follow in Smellage Memory Gardens in the Boma Community. Mrs. Darrow died Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Florida. She was born May 19, 1934 in Brethren, Michigan to the late Howard and Bernice Somsel Leckrone. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrold Bradford Darrow who died April 22, 1997, sister Carol Darrow, great-granddaughter, Kailynn Sue Cantlin. She and her husband moved to Silver Point from Michigan in 1980. They became members of Silver Point Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. She also cooked at the Hurricane Boat Dock Restaurant, NHC Health Care and Helen's Restaurant in Gainesboro. She enjoyed camping, sitting around the bonfire and fishing. Survivors include Life Partner Curtis Woodard of Silver Point, daughters and sons-in-law Sherry (Randy) Smith Norrod of Crawford, TN., Brenda Hoffman of St. Clair Shores, MI., Lorinda Mazurek of Helena, Montana and Jerri (Chris) Brown of Baxter, sons and daughters-in-law Michael (Cherri) Darrow, Steve Darrow all of Silver Point, Doug and Loria Kay Darrow of Whitleyville, TN, sisters Donna Darrow of Kaleva, MI and Delores (Dave) Cilman of Copemich, MI, brothers and a sister-in-law Daryl (Janet) Leckrone of Brethren, MI, Eldon Leckrone of Kaleva, MI, Dwight Leckrone of Lake Odessa, MI, , 21 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday, Oct. 13 from 5 to 8 PM and after 9 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Active Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Chase and Jacob Smith, Cody Boles, Jason & Kris Armstrong, Randy Mazurek, Ashton Darrow, Seth Holloway, Jake Cantlin, Charlie Phonsnasinh.
