Jean Cantrell

Jean (Bennett) Cantrell was called home by the Lord last Saturday, December 11, 2021. She was 84. Jean was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on August 21, 1937 to Mae Loftis Bennett and Elmer Bennett. She was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Alf Cantrell and her daughter Sherry Jean Cantrell. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother Reverend Glenn Bennett. Jean married Bill Cantrell on December 28, 1953. Their daughter Sherry was born in 1954. They moved to Royal Oak, Michigan in 1956, where their son Alan was born. In 1960, they moved to Phillips Avenue in Clawson, Michigan where she lived for 60 years. Jean’s priority was family. She was unbelievable at sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling. She was very active in her church serving the Lord. Jean took excellent care of her mother and father throughout their later years when they had significant illness. She loved her grandsons with all her heart and enjoyed everything that they did. Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jean is survived by her son Alan (Sherrie); her two grandsons, Alexander and Christopher; and several close relatives and friends.
