J.D. Huddleston

Funeral Services for J.D. Huddleston age 79 of Cookeville, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011 from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Mr. Huddleston died Tuesday March 8, 2011 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born December 23, 1931 in Silver Point, TN to the late Charlie Huddleston and Minnie Bell Herron. J.D. served in the U.S. Navy as Seaman 1st Class in the Korean War. J.D. is survived by four children, James (Melissa) Huddleston of Columbus, OH; John (Valerie) Huddleston of Stow, OH; Corinne (Todd) Marvin of Austin, TX and Dianne (Jim) Jones of Mogadore, OH. He is also survived by a brother, Floyd (Janet) Huddleston of Akron, OH; a sister, Callie (Ben) Brown of Noblesville, IN, 6 granddaughters and his children’s mother, Marilyn Huddleston of Akron OH. Mr. Huddleston was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jenette McBroom.
