Funeral services for Jason Matthew Sherrell, age 38, of Cookeville, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday August 12 at Dyer Funeral Home with Bro Harold Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Boiling Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 11 a.m. until service time. Jason passed away Thursday evening August 9, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born January 8, 1980 in Cookeville to Wayne and Helen Loftis Sherrell of Cookeville. Jason formerly worked in construction and landscaping. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Trenton Sherrell; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Carrie Sherrell; two nieces, Brittney and Gracie Sherrell, and great-niece, Temperance Sherrell, all of Cookeville. Pallbearers will be Andy Tompkins, Steven Webb, Chris, Will, Daniel and Trenton Sherrell. Dyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
