Janice Sullivan

Mrs. Janice Saunders Sullivan, age 63 of Cookeville, passed peacefully Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at her home. A Memorial service will be held on Dec 31, 1-5pm at Chancellor Community Center in Fredericksburg VA. She was born July 29, 1948 in Nashville TN to Carol Phelan Saunders and late Joseph Benjamin Saunders. Mrs. Sullivan was of the Christian faith while serving the church, choir and the children’s ministry. She and her husband Gary moved to Cookeville area about 5 years ago to be near her parents. Janice spent 45 years as a hair dresser in the Fredericksburg VA area and had many loyal clients. She also served her community as a volunteer at the Cancer Center. Janice is survived by her husband, Gary Sullivan, one son; Anthony (Fianc Lindsey) Sullivan, one sister; Lynda Saunders (Clarence) McGhee of Manchester , one brother; Joel (Brenda) Saunders of Murfreesboro. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a nephew Joel Andrew McGhee. The family has chosen cremation per Mrs. Sullivan’s wishes. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the National Parkinson Foundation in Memory of Janice S. Sullivan.
