Jan Shearon

Funeral services for Ms. Jan Zegarske Shearon, age 63, of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 3 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Fr. Chad Puthoff officiating. Interment will follow in the Paran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. Ms. Shearon passed away Saturday December 30, 2017 at Signature Health Care of Putnam County. She was born May 3, 1954 to the late Edmund Everette and Shirley Mae Zegarske. Ms. Shearon graduated from TTU with a bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management. She was an educator who taught high school and collegiate biology prior to retirement. Ms Shearon loved animals. She raised show dogs and was especially proud to have participated in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. She is survived by special friends, Buddy and Patsy Bartlett, Donald and Jennifer Bartlett family, Sheila Bartlett, Jane McCurry family, and a host of friends and neighbors.
