Funeral services for James Clarence McReynolds, 87 of Cookeville will be Wednesday, April 3 at 1 PM from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Crest Lawn Mausoleum. Jason Fincher will officiate. Mr. McReynolds died Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Signature Health Care-Putnam County in Algood. He was born October 10, 1931 in Baxter, TN to the late James Gertis and Vennie Mahan McReynolds. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughter Teresa Lynn Baranick, sisters Eula Parkerson, Lorene Iverson and Lois Griffin, brothers Quinton and Walter McReynolds. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist Faith. He also enjoyed playing golf. He was a retired installer in the Heating and Cooling Industry. Survivors include wife of 70 years ( Married March 26, 1949 in Rossville, GA) Pauline Smith McReynolds of Cookeville; sons and daughters-in-law David (Rita) McReynolds of Huntington Beach, CA, Tim (Beth) McReynolds of Cookeville; sister and brother-in-law Evelyn (Bob) Frazier of Cookeville; brother and sister-in-law Tommy (Harriet Ann) McReynolds of Hermitage, TN; grandchildren: Jason (Danielle) McReynolds of Huntington Beach, CA, Kristin (Jason) Fincher, Christopher (Lacy) McReynolds all of Murfreesboro, Jack McReynolds of Cookeville; eight great-grandchildren: Carli, Cassidy, Calee, Ben, and Max McReynolds, Callum, Clara, and Evie Fincher; and two great-great grandchildren: Emma and Emitt McReynolds. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mr. McReynolds family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home.
