Jacob Brown

Jacob Ray Brown, age 44 of Cookeville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 1, 1977 in Cookeville, TN to Carl and Vickie Harris Brown. Visitation will be held at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston, and Horner Funeral Home on Thursday, March 10th from 5pm-8pm and Friday, March 11th from 11am until time of services at 1pm with Brother Steve Thornton officiating. Burial to follow at Perkins Cemetery in Putnam County. Jacob worked alongside his father daily as a carpenter since graduating from Cookeville High School in 1996. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Patriots fan. During his life, he enjoyed playing X-box, hunting, and being outside. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother. Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Christina Mahan Brown, whom he married on June 6, 2001 in Cookeville, TN; daughter, Alicia Renae Brown of Cookeville, TN; brother, Chad Brown of Nashville, TN; Father and Mother-in-law, RL and Opal Mahan of Cookeville, TN; sister-in-law Beverly (John) Herman of Sparta, TN; brother-in-law Jeff (Molly) Mahan of Cookeville, TN; nieces, Callie (Carlos) Betancourt of Sparta, TN, Lena and Eva Mahan of Cookeville, TN; nephew Nick Herman of Sparta, TN. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He is proceeded in death by paternal grandparents Willie Lawrence and Louise Brown, and maternal grandparents Willie Sherman and Modenia Harris; and great-nephew Evan Betancourt.
